Be careful, I know a few girls like this and half of the reason they do the things they do is because they know that you want them and that's only why they like you.


I got my heart broken once that way, just be careful she's not the same kind of girl.

Bring a thick skin...on travel day try to get as much sleep as you can. If you are flying into SDF (louisville) try to get as much sleep as you can on the ride from the airport to the base (about 55 minutes or so)...the first day of basic is HELL!


Don't marry or fall for ANY of the women you meet in Radcliff...most are looking for some 'officer and a gentleman' type of romance. If you do get the chance to go to Louisville to party, SKIP anyplace in the west end of that town (quite dangerous).Im leaving for Basic (ft. a lot of people ask about choosing colours for their braces....but some orthodontists dont even use colours anymore (they are little band things that go on each bracket) like when i have mine, the bracket son my top row of teeth were actually clear so the looked smaller and i didnt have to choose colours, which i prefered... but if you have to choose colours? get whichever colour you like....experiment with it....personally i would always choose clear or white (people say that clear and white stain really bad , but they actually dont....)





yes it does hurt getting them on and after appointments...but NO it isnt as bad as everyone makes it out to be...just take some tylenol or advil and try to relax. for me, the night i got them on didnt hurt at all..the next day it started to hurt abit, but then i just took advil and stuff. this will sound starnge; but the pain of braces is like...it felt to me like i couldnt feel my individual teeth, it felt like all of my teeth was jsut one solid block and my gums felt tender(i didnt like biting down on anything...even if i wasnt eating)





while your mouth hurts you can eat soups mac %26amp; cheese...really soft sandwiches (think pb %26amp; jam) applesauce...there isnt too much variety! afterwards the pain will go away, TRUST ME and you can eat pretty much anything...jsut stay away from gum (yeah ive had friends who chewed gum while they had braces, but its just gross, getting gum stuck in them?! yuck, i never did) stay away from hard candy, carrots, and just hard crunchy things...for apples and stuff cut them up into wedges instead of jsut biting into them





just brush and floss (your ortho will steach you how)...go to your appointments...dont break brackets (you cna avoid that by not eating foods that you shouldnt be eating) and go to apointments.....if your ortho gives you elastics, then wear them!!!!!!! they suck, but they actually do work and you wont get your braces off any sooner if you dont do what he/she tellsa you to do, so always follow their instructions





another tip: gingivitis (inflammation of the gums) is very common for people who have braces, i had some pretty bad...so to avoid it the best you can, FLOSS everyday, it makes ahuge difference, even though its hard at first youll get better as you practice.Im Gettin Braces Next Week n Im Real Sketched Out? When you first get them, they hurt quite a bit. Take some advil or tylenol, and youll be fine. the hurt lasts untill the second day, then you are good to go. then after you get them tightened, theyll hurt for a day each time, but then again, advil works wonders.


Eat soft stuff when you first get them, and when they are tightened, like yogurt and bananas and jell-o. i had the hardest time with spaghetti, because it got stuck between the wires, and it was just a mess.


its really easy for your teeth to get yellower when you have braces, so do your best to brush them 3 times daily, try and bring a tooth brush to school for after lunch. carry around a mirror and check after lunch, becuase you do not want to be walking around with food particles suck in your brackets.
ooh, braces suck, majorly. Anywhere, here are some tips;





When you first get them on, they will hurt, don't believe people who say they don't when you get them on, the first few days/weeks, you will be sore, it'll be weird, and you will probably talk a bit funny until you get used to them. For the first few weeks,try to onlye at soft foods, don't eat anything terribly hard or that requires chewing, that includes gum, candies, stuff like that. hard vegetables.





Take advil for the pain, you will hurt, and it won't be fun, but the pain should go away after af ew days /weeks down to a sore. more or less. so just try to take it easy, and watch out for your mouth and take advil.





if you ahve any problems with your braces, go to the ortho, they can help yo. there's no need to be scared, they just hurt, but it's worht it in the end.
They will be tight the first week and the only thing you will be able to eat is yogurt.聽 you should brush well.聽 Good Luck!!聽 Braces are not that bad and if you think they are bad while you have them on, than you'll see how silly you were when you get them off!! That's what happened to me, I got them when I was 8. Your Orthodontist will tell you not to chew gum or Peanut Butter but gum is OK just don't chew it for a long time and try not to smoosh it into your braces, PB is fine too just not the crunchy kind. and NEVER HAVE A GRANOLA BAR!!! I broke two brackets doing that!
Just relax and try not close your mouth to much because it will take a long time for the dentist to put ont he braces.

OK, so as for the procedure, be prepared to have your mouth open for a long time...bring some Vaseline for your lips. Be prepared for some nasty tasting glue and biting a stick really hard to push a band in. Have an idea of what color you want to put on your braces(no worries, you change them every adjustment) ';


When you are done, pop some pain pills before the pain gets a little hard to get rid of. I'm sorry to say, but it's gonna be a rough few days, as well as when you get them tightened. If you have any questions, just ask.

The good news is, unless you are very unfortunate indeed, you already have people who think well of you, and maybe even want to be just like you!





Your parents probably love and care about you, you have friends who want to do their hair like yours and borrow your shoes cause they're so cute. Your kid sister wants to be just like you and your kid brother wants you to brring more friends over because they think HE is cute!





At the moment this might not seem like much, compared to the millions of people who love Paris Hilton or cried when Princess Diana died, but as time goes by you'll care less and less what those millions of people think and more and more what your family and friends are doing, how their lives are going and how you can help make it all work for them.





It's part of the process of growing more mature ~ we come to like ourselves more, feel more comfortable in our own skins and be happy to be us, instead of some celebrity who can never seem to find happiness despite all her fans.





It's not that we don't care what people think of us, it's just that we don't care whay people who don't MATTER to us think!

I see your problem, because you don't want to ruin your rep. right now. Right? I kind of gave up on being popular, because i didn't have all the ';criteria';. I was too short, didn't have ENOUGH clothes, stuff like that, that i couldn't change. So if you find some friends that don't care about that stuff either, like i did, you will find your true colors and really show yourself to the world (in a good way :D). Try dressing a little different than u usually do, cause it makes you act different if you feel different. hope i helped @*^*@

I agree. My boyfriend is almost two years older than me and we didn't plan it that way. Heck, my sister's boyfriend is 7 years older than her. It shouldn't matter how old or young your partner should be, as long you love that person. Age is just a number, not a requirement.
