Any words of advice for a man with a broken heart?

My girlfriend of three years broke up with me on new years. I am just feeling down. I need a little advice on how to cope.

I'm truly sorry. I know how it must be hurting right now, but I promise you; the pain will get less with time. I have been there and speak from experience. It helped for me to spend time with family, friends and by myself to just take care of me. I pray 2009 will be a blessed year for you and if things are meant to be between you two ..it will work out. I know there really isn't anything anyone can say..but honestly if it wasn't meant to be, it just wasnt meant to be. Maybe she realized you weren't the one for her and if that was the case she did you a favor. WHy would you want to be with someone who knows its not going anywhere...change hurts. Whatever the outcome; if you get back together or not...best of luck. Keep your head up, it will get better. :)
Take something from the relationship and learn from it. Live life again being single. You don't have to rush back into a relationship. Think about the good times.
