I was elected yesterday as a town council member. I am the youngest, 18 years old. In two weeks, all six people will have to go to the back room, ask who wants what and then (fight about it) then we would announce it to the public.
I am interest in becoming the president. I am taking a Women History Class at the college and it makes me realize that if a woman has an opportunity to run for something they should take that advantage and take the highest position.
Can you give me input to convince the other council member that a young person can do it? Thank you.Can you give me words of advice to convince the town council members?
First and foremost, congratulations on your position. You have already influenced someone as your election shows.
I think you need to sit down and think about what the President of the Council's duties should be and how you will be able to fit them. Then mold those ideas into an oratory to present at the meeting.
I assume you have knowledge of what the council has been looking at recently as far as issues. Maybe it is a good time to reach out to the other members just to hear their opinions. Part of leadership is giving others the freedom to express themselves. You may learn something new, or at least find some allies along the way.
Good luck to you. Let us know how you did.Can you give me words of advice to convince the town council members?
Do you live in a town with a population of 8?
your really gonna need the ';gift of gab'; and the knowledge to back it up.
if you have what it takes you will convince them.
dont leave any doubts and never give up.
you really cant put a age on talent.18 +
convince the council.
tell them why any other option would be a loss to the community.
tell them you got a gun
