Look at it this way: in middle school, what most people want is to be popular, but in high school, it doesn't matter if you're popular or not, because there are so many people you can be friends with. You can take more interesting classes, and your teachers will be more interesting. Basically, high school is a lot of fun, even though it's challenging.
