Word of Advice, Wisdom, Help. Troubled?

Back in Dec i went to see my OBGYN for my very first pap smear. Well just yesterday he told me i tested positive for HPV i believe i was exposed to it from my last relationship with my ex of course i talked to him and he told me he didnt even know he had anything because he has no symptoms, nor do i. I am well aware of the fact that he wouldnt have known because there are no known test for men. I am trying very hard to educate my self on HPV and the risks i may have of getting cervical cancer. My now boyfriend who is in California because is in the marines does not know i have this, and yes i will let him know im not going to keep this from him. Ive only been with him once and yes we used a condom, even then i hope i didnt give it to him. I feel my life is over because for the first time ever i have found someone who really cares for me, and this i know because he isnt around and has the heart to be far away and try to work things out knowing distance can really seperate two people.Word of Advice, Wisdom, Help. Since he's far away, my only advice is to call him up and tell him you received bad news. Then tell him the whole story. Tell him he's probably free of it, since you used a condom. I know distance really does separate people, which is why I only dated my husband long distance for about 2 or 3 months. I then moved to where he was, and we dated a little over a year like that.

If this guy really cares for you, he'll stick around even though you have that virus. I don't know if anything can be done to get rid of it, but do everything you can to do it. Good luck.Word of Advice, Wisdom, Help. Troubled?
In life we each are burdened with unique challenges which, I believe , we chose...before we were born.

Your current stressor will make you a wiser, more compassionate and decent soul, or it will be the beginning of the end for you.

I suggest you get ahold of anything by Anna Robertson Brown, PhD.

She was a genius in the last century who clearly understood why we were born, and what we ought to do with our lives.

I wish you well, and assure you, each of us is saddled with all we can possibly bear, but not a single ounce more.

.
Just FYI 86% of women who are sexually active and over the age of 20 have this virus. Very common virus. I think you should do more research before you make this out to the equivalent of being HIV positive.
Human Papilloma virus is very common and has about 100 different strains. In most cases not dangerous for the male but can lead to cervical cancer in women.
most people by the time they turn 20, only sleep with one partner. almost all males carry the virus, nothing happens to them, so it isn't a big deal. But still he honest with him
