Can anyone offer me words of support and advice please?

I am stuck in the library with an essay due on Thursday and I just can't be bothered doing it. I am finding it really hard to concentrate and focus. It is my last essay but I just can't face it!! Help!!Can anyone offer me words of support and advice please?
You may be approaching this the wrong way - why are you stuck?





Had a good break, overindulged, got out of the habit, not motivated by the course? Unless you have a good reason (e.g. serious illness) the work needs to be done, or you need to drop out.





Let's assume you're not dropping out. Let's also assume that the task is achievable (there are enough hours to fit the length of essay in, etc.). Let's finally assume that you have made an attempt - but it hasn't worked. You need to do something different to what you are doing now.





Why are you working in the library? Could you work elsewhere? Are you listening to music (via iPod) - if so switch to instrumentals as lyrics interfere with the brain's language centres. Are you tired - get some sleep then start again when you wake - which could be at 4am. Avoid caffeine - it may keep the lights on, but it doesn't mean anyone's at home! Get some exercise, take a break.....





Check that you understand the question. It may be that your interpretation is too complex.

Go for it the quicker it ends up ends up being done the more time you get to yourself. It won't take long to complete as soon as you have started. If you get stuck go and ask a mate for help and ask them to sit with you always helps pass the time even if you don't finish your essay today at least start it them come back to it when you have the motivation
Break it down into smaller tasks. Write the introduction and then go by a latte. Give a few examples and then go to lunch. Write the conculsion and then go to the gym.
Extract your finger from ur bu m, put it around a pen to some paper and start writing! u aint going to get far with that attitude! think about it, how long is uni / college? high school? once your done, your done! after that u can get on with ur life
It's always hard to do big pieces of work because it's just plain boring, best thing to do is just go spent an hour or two with some friends having a coffee. Just cheers you up enough to attemp it

Listen to music while doing your work ( music is my answer for everything lol..not literally )
Your motivation is that you just want to earn good money when you finish or do you want to be a check out till person in Tescopoly?
Go for a short walk and then start but take a five min break every .45 mine
think of your parent's hardship. go outside and take a deep breath. relax for a while and go back to work.
just have to pray to GOD
maybe get off yahoo answers and try reeeeaally hard to concentrate. i feel your pain.
