I am having a total knee replacement on Tuesday. Does anyone have any tips for recovery or words of advice?

I had complete knee reconstruction when I fell 18 feet onto a cement driveway. Be patient and take it slow, follow doctor's instructions and when in Physical Theory, do all your exercises that they give for you for the best recovery.I am having a total knee replacement on Tuesday. Does anyone have any tips for recovery or words of advice?
My advice would be listen to the doctor advive and just to take it easy until you feel better...regards and get well soon I hope.........I am having a total knee replacement on Tuesday. Does anyone have any tips for recovery or words of advice?
I use to look your questions and a lot about cooking....

After the surgery you will have to care your weight the recovery will be quicker and less chance for further troubles.

Good luck you know the surgeons work with what they find.
None. But I wish you the best and a speedy recovery!!
Had a giggle over this one. Sorry. I wanted to say, ';Don't bend your knees'; and laugh like a moron (I think I've been sitting here too long)

Take it slow. Avoid stairs. Put your feet up. Use a pillow on the coffee table to prop up your legs while you watch TV.
heres some inspirational Bible Verses! God will always bee there!:D

being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Philippians 1:6

Wait for the LORD;be strong and take heart

and wait for the LORD.

Psalm 27:14 New International Version

I can do everything through him who gives me strength.

Philippians 4:13 New International Version

Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you;

he will never let the righteous fall.

Psalm 55:22 NIV
If you want to heal the right way.....listen to every word your doctor says. Do and dont do exactly what he tells you. And please ask questions, if you have any! There is never a dumb question.
Advice ...No

I do wish you All the Best and a Speedy recovery

Tips .......No .....Well ...your going to be in a lot of pain Keep pushing yourself further and further each hour and each day I'm positive you'll have a speedy recovery!!! ,,,Good Luck
My dad had both of his done. After you wake up they will put your leg on a machine that works the knee up and down. You will still be laying down. They will ask you to walk with in 3 days or less after every thing is going along well. I think it's a good thing. Your knee will be stronger in the near future. You should be glad about having it done. I know there is some fear in surgery period. You'll be up and about in no time. Listen to what the doctor tells you to do. Sadly I may have to have the same thing done someday, but I am glad that the doctors are good at what they do.
