Natural meaning going back to my hair in its natural state without a relaxer.I want to go natural. Any suggestions or words of advice?
Congratulations on the decision to go natural. Instead of transitioning I just cut my hair to about 2 inches and then eventually to less than 1 inch to make sure all the relaxer was out. This was Aug. of last year and now my hair is a couple of centimeters past my ears and growing. I don't know much about transitioning but you can find many places over the Internet that will give you good advice.

OMG gurl, im black and i am in my sophomore year of college and i wanted to go natural back in my first semester so i did. I use to always get perms and my hair was down on my shoulders. I went to a shop and got it all cut off and i had already let it grow out a little so it wasnt too short. BAD IDEA!!! the lady at the shop cut it all off BEFORE she told me that i needed to perm it to style it and i was extremely mad!! I eventually just kept it greased and wore my hair in braids and weaves and it grew really fast and i didnt have to go through that ugly faze where i couldnt do anything with it. If you have black hair it may be hard to grease it because it may be kinky. Because hair is natural you will have to work more on washing it and keeping it from looking matted.
well, the only thing you can do [that i am aware of] is to just let it grow back out.
but you can also dye it back to the original color so it would seem like the process is going a bit faster....
just so you wont have those ugly outgrown dyed hair...[or however you would like to say it lol]
ok....that's what you mean. you kinda scared me there for a second.
